Upon arriving a bit late for our 7:30 Friday evening reservations made online through OpenTable, the hostess escorted our party of four into the elegant dining area. We attempted to start our dining experience with a bottle of wine, but opted to order glasses when the preferred wine could not be opened due to dry corks. Two attempts were made with two different bottles. The meal started with the mini-crabcake appetizer and Maryland crab soup, both offered a pleasant start to the evening. The Bluestone salads were fresh, crisp and provided the right blend of vinaigrette dressing. Those whose meals were comprised with shrimp were in agreement that the shrimp were overcooked. The filet mignon ordered was also over-cooked. The crabcake entrée was pleasing to the palate. The tri-color mousse was a pleasing ending. We felt that the service was prompt. However, we felt that our waitress provided diner-type service in the elegant atmosphere. Overall, we were in agreement that the meal was mediocre and those choosing to try this seafood restaurant should stick with the crabcakes.
