How to read the index
- Sizes are not standard. One crab house’s "large" can be another’s "medium", so compare within a place as well as across sizes.
- Prices change daily in season. Call ahead and order early on summer weekends.
- Season: Maryland’s commercial crab season runs from April through mid-December, and prices are often higher early in the season and around holiday weekends.
