This page explains what DineBaltimore collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we receive. Anything you type into our contact form (name, email, message) is stored so we can answer you. We use it only to reply. Tips, comments and ratings you post are stored and may be shown publicly. Votes are counted against a scrambled code, so we never keep your IP address. Notes you send us (a suggestion, a submission or a correction) are stored with the optional name and email you give. A first name may appear as a credit if we publish your submission; your email never does. Specifically, we receive:

  • Ratings, tips and questions you choose to post.
  • Suggestions you send through the suggest form. The server notes routine technical details of each visit, like IP address and browser type, which helps us fix problems and block abuse. Simple totals (tool uses, clicks on outbound links) are kept without personal details.

On your device. Some pages remember your last entries in your own browser (local storage). Nothing is sent to us, and clearing site data wipes it.

Third parties. Our own pages work without cookies or a login. Visit statistics and any ads come from outside services that may use cookies; your browser lets you turn these off. Shopping links can earn us a small fee. The retailer you land on may use its own cookies.

Sharing. No one buys personal data from us. Hosting and email providers process data for us; nobody else gets it unless legally required.

Contact. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email privacy@dinebaltimore.com. If you believe a child under 13 sent us personal details, tell us and we’ll delete them.

Check back here for any updates; the date tells you when it last changed. Updated October 28, 2026.
